Thank you for praying for Ella Joy’s 3rd post chemo check-up. I cannot believe it has already been about half a year that she has been off chemotherapy! Her blood counts were good, and there were no evident enlarged lymph nodes. Praise the Lord for another clean check up! Ella Joy’s 4th post-chemo check-up will be on September 19th Monday. Friends, please continue praying with us!
We stayed at friends’ homes for this past week! It was incredibly blessing to see so many generous and caring friends open their homes to our family. A long while ago, I taught CFC summer school/VBS, and this week, Ella Joy and Asaph got a chance to attend a whole week of VBS! They had such a blast learning about God’s Word and hanging out with many friends they had known when they were toddlers. We truly felt so touched seeing them living out Galatians 5:13: “serve one another humbly in love.” After spending time with these amazing friends, I am reminded that we are so blessed because our family is covered in so much prayer!
It was also special for me to get together with one of my students I had taught when he was only 3 years old! This school year, he will be a sophomore in high school! His mother is not only an amazing choreographer (who taught our pre-k class many moves!) but also a wonderful friend who always makes efforts to get together! Whenever I talk to her, I always remember the reason why I became a teacher in the first place!
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
– 3 John 1:4
We are so thankful to God for so many friends who have been praying for Ella Joy, and continue to pray.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – I Thessalonians 5:17
One quote that has been on my heart when I read and watch the news is from E.M Bounds who said, “God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil”
